Customer Reviews

Loved it, our team really enjoyed the drive and the learning experience provided by the guide. Will do it again - Cathrine

We had a wonderful time filled with perfect viewings, new fun facts and loads of laughter. Thank you for the wonderful experience. - Corax

Donna was amazing in assisting us with the booking. The incorrect date was booked however this was resolved very quickly on site. Our driver/guide was phenomenal! We enjoyed every minute and every conversation with JP. Unfortunately, that is where our fun ended as we headed to Neck & Deck for lunch. Brenda, our waitress was ridiculously slow and would often forget orders. She served 4 table outside and still insisted on taking on more tables even though there were waiters and waitresses who were less busy. It was confirmed that this was by her own doing as she would rush to take in customers as soon as they walked in, not allowing other staff the opportunity to do so. The food was decent and the drinks were also good however, food was served cold and our drinks half melted due to the waitress being delayed. Apart from the experience at the restaurant, the game drive itself was top tier and I would highly recommend it. - Women's

I would like to thank the Bothongo Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve team for our fantastic experience. It was a big occasion for our family as we celebrated my father's 70th birthday. When making the booking, I had friendly and prompt service, with the lady that assisted me, making jokes and ensuring we got a prime time and vehicle. We had a delectable breakfast at the Neck and Deck restaurant and were fortunate enough to interact with the giraffe. A moment that gave my mother great joy as giraffes are her favorite animal. The star of the show however was our guide Rose. She very quickly became part of the family, sharing in our merriment and jokes. She was extremely knowledgeable and imparted her knowledge freely. We have been on several game drives in the past and it is not often that you learn something new from the guides, however, Rose kept us hanging on her lips with interesting facts and stories. The wild dogs quickly became a firm favorite of the family as we never knew that they were such interesting and complex creatures. Again, a huge thank you to the team but especially Rose. - Elaine

We had an amazing experience not only because of the flora and fauna but also because of our guide, Anais Steenkamp. She knew where to go and when, and she shared her knowledge and passion for nature generous/vrygewig. Thanks very much, we will surely recommend Bothongo to friends and family. - Ron
